tour of penang..

just back from tour island of penang (12-14 Apr 09).. our journey went for 3 days 2 night.. as always my trip accomponied by my two dearest most precious ladies - my wife anne & my baby adlin..

DAY 1


12noon - departed from seri manjung

3.00pm - penang bridge, luckily we're not stuck in the jam.. experienced it before..
driving with one hand at the steering, the other hand holding map and both eyes doing two things at one time is really dangerous (u have to admit that ladies aren't good when comes to read a map)..

4.00pm - arrived at bukit bendera.. bought the ticket.. we have 45 minutes before our train scheduled to climb uphill.. took our lunch..

4.45pm - no wonder some of penangite never been to bkt bendera (my friend hazri).. stuck in the train like sardine in a can plus 'ketiak' original fragrant and NO aircond.. !*%$)@*^ (if u ever feel to visit BB, make sure its early in the morning)

5.15pm - lot of different compared to my last visit in 1994.. (nama pun dah 15thn)

6.00pm - met my old friend rashidi aka 'penang', we used to study at itm arau but he's on the other hand has been 'kicked' out in the 2nd semester.. although been kicked, he's now one of the bukit bendera train service's officer, jgn main2..

6.30pm - amik kao, saman parking line kuning.. mampus la, aku takmo byr.. sape suruh silap tulis no plate kereta aku.. selamatttt aku (ye ke??)..

DAY 2


10.00am - tour island (not island cruise) by car.. start from bayan lepas (we stayed last night at my bro in law's house), batu maung (fisherman's village), balik pulau.. damn u, balik pulau is just a nice place to live after 'pencen'.. damn peace and tranquilty..

11.00am - we stop by at street stall just to take some pictures.. and later having our mkn2 tropical fruit (mcm dkt tmpt lain takde, haha)..

12noon - tour feringhi, too hot to walk.. duduk dlm kereta lg best.. nothing's much different.. lots of villa's for rich people (brp ramai la org melayu yg mampu beli agaknya).. but what surprised me was, a new under construction Hard Rock Hotel Penang will be waiting for u guys..

2.00pm - check in at continental hotel, damn cheap.. at rm108 u'll get a same facility as at others hotel which charged above rm200..

3.00pm - tour of cheong fatt tze mansion (pics above).. a little brief about this guy - CFT a hakka clan in China (nenek aku pun hakka jgk) start to travel outside of China in early age and start a busines in a country along straits of malacca.. his business was too succesfull which abling him to build a lot of mansions.. one of them is in penang and the one that he love most (because it's placed his most beloved wife - he used to have 8 wife at one time).. this building received a recognition from UNESCO for most excellent project for asia pacific in 2000.. more details click here..

5.00pm - met old friend (ajaq - roommate at itm arau)..

8.00pm - met another old friend again (hazri & family).. we had our dinner at sup hameed restaurant, variety of soups offered and definitely delicious.. u all better try it.. location? just opposite hotel continental..

10.30pm - too tired but still want to watch prison break.. cannot missed this one ooo..

DAY 3


9.30pm - sent my wife to dewan seri pinang for 'apantah gomen test' while me and my adlin pusing2 padang kota.. no photos..

11.00pm - check out and bubye.. via ferry penang..

p/s: sabtu lps aku pergi merisik utk adik aku.. on the way ke kl, kitorg singgah r&r ulu bernam.. aku sempat sembahyang zohor berimamkan MB Perak, Datuk Seri Ir. Nizar Jamaludin.. giler bestttt!!!..
